Dr. Yaofeng Hu is a board certified doctor of acupuncture. He was born and educated in Shanghai, China. Dr. Hu graduated from Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medical University (top traditional Chinese medicine school in China) and earned his PH. D. in Acupuncture from South Baylo University in Los Angeles. Since 1987, he has practiced acupuncture and tui-na with a focus on sports medicine in both Shanghai hospitals and at his own practice in Los Angeles. Dr. Hu quickly became known as an expert who combines traditional Chinese medicine and modern Western medicine.

In 1998 Dr. Hu moved to Los Angeles, California and the following year began his own practice in Santa Monica. He has since then built his reputation among patients and now works with many renowned orthopaedic groups and pain management doctors in Westside.

Dr. Hu offers unique tui-na and acupuncture (traditional Chinese therapeutic massage) to resolve patient pain over the past 20 years. He has developed his special techniques, which he customizes to each individual patient in order to meet their specific needs.

His work and professional integrity has earned him the respect of numerous prominent surgeons and physicians. Many of his patients are referrals from renowned ortho- pedic and spinal surgery groups. In fact, Dr. Yaofeng Hu can count many professional athletes and celebrities among his satisfied patients.
