Born and educated in Shanghai, China, Dr. Hu graduated from Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medical University (Top traditional Chinese medicine school in China). Since 1987 he practiced in Lu-wan hospital in shanghai and quickly became known as an expert who combines traditional Chinese medicine and modern Western medicine. His successes have been chronicled in numerous Chinese newspapers and magazines.

In 1998 he moved in Los Angeles California. Next year He stars his own practice in Santa Monica. He works with renowned Santa Monica Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Group and many pain management doctors in Westside.

His work and professional integrity has earned him the respect of numerous prominent surgeons and physicians, and many of his patients are referrals from the renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic and Santa Monica Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Group. In fact, Dr. Hu can count Hollywood producers and NBA players among his satisfied patients.
